Vocabulary to look out for
titled / named / announced = different ways of presenting the winners of these awards (How many ways can you find in the article that the author uses to present the winners and not just use the verb ‘win’?)
portrait – a description or representation of something
lay down your life for sth – to die for something you believe in strongly
wound – a damaged area of the body, such as a cut or hole in the skin or flesh made by a weapon
exposure – the amount of time a piece of film is open to the light when making a photograph
